Irish Oatmeal Cookies
Suggested
ingredients (but feel free to add or change – that’s the
fun of cooking):
2 sticks
of butter
1 & ½
cups of sugar
1 egg
1
teaspoon of vanilla
1 & ¾
cups of flour
1
teaspoon of baking soda
1
teaspoon of baking powder
1 &
1/2
c. of quick oats - oatmeal
Directions:
Preheat
the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix the
butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Then stir in the flour,
baking soda, baking powder, and oatmeal. Lightly grease
a baking sheet and spoon out large spoonfuls of the
dough onto the sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes, or until
cookies are golden brown. This will make about 20
cookies.
