The Molly Maguires
 

(1970) – The Molly Maguires is an action movie (unlike most of the movies listed here which are comedies) starring Sean Connery and Richard Harris about a group of Pennsylvania coal miners and their fight to change the oppressive world of the coal mines in the late 1800’s.  Based on a true story, The Molly Maguires is a great way to spend an evening reflecting on the harsh lives that many Irish natives met when immigrating to new lands in their search for opportunity.
